The New York Giants will have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. They will need to find its next franchise quarterback for the long haul potentially with that selection.

However, there could be other ways for the Giants to address the quarterback position this offseason. Some names that could be the quarterback next season are Justin Fields, Matthew Stafford, Sam Darnold, Jameis Winston, or potentially an unknown. The New York Giants have to get things right this offseason in order to show major improvement in 2025.
New York Giants Select Travis Hunter In Latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft On NFL.com

NFL.com Dan Parr created his latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft. With the third overall pick, he has the New York Giants selecting Colorado Buffaloes cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter. Parr said:
“Can the Giants pull off a blockbuster swap for Matthew Stafford? If the G-Men decide to go the trade or free agency route to find their next QB and manage to keep the No. 3 pick, they could find themselves able to land the Heisman Trophy winner, too, who could help them on both sides of the ball.”
In this mock draft, Cam Ward is off the board, but Shedeur Sanders isn’t. It is interesting that in this scenario, general manager Joe Schoen would pass up on Sanders for his teammate Hunter. Travis Hunter this past season with the Colorado Buffaloes caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards receiving and 15 touchdowns, along with averaging 13.1 yards per reception. He also rushed for five yards on two carries and a touchdown.
On defense, he recorded 35 tackles, 11 pass deflections, one forced fumble, and four interceptions. It will be interesting to see what position Travis Hunter will play at the next level.
Stafford Rumors

Some rumors are going around that the New York Giants may trade the third overall pick to the Los Angeles Rams for quarterback Matthew Stafford. A lot of Giants fans know that a desperate general manager will do dangerous things. The last thing the Giants need to do is trade that pick for Stafford.
If they do trade that pick and do not get a player like Travis Hunter, then general manager Joe Schoen should be getting ready to clean out his office after the 2025 season. Schoen is already under the microscope from the fanbase.
