New York Giants safety Jason Pinnock was one of several players on the defense who recorded a sack in the 21-15 win on the road against the Cleveland Browns. With the win, the Giants improved to 1-2 on the season. With the loss, the Browns dropped to 1-2 on the season.
This was a huge win for the New York Giants because had they dropped to 0-3, it would have been very devastating for them. The defense played much better in this game against the Cleveland Browns.
New York Giants Safety Jason Pinnock Has New Motto After the Win Against the Cleveland Browns
After the game, Jason Pinnick spoke to Dan Duggan of The Athletic about the game. Pinnick said:
“Fuck it.”
This was about the very bad start against the Browns. Eric Gray fumbled on the opening kickoff and then Deshaun Watson threw a touchdown pass on the very next play to Amari Cooper. Cleveland’s offense would be in for a very long day after that.
Giants Defense Makes Life Miserable For the Browns
New York’s defense did not force a single punt last week against the Washington Commanders. This week, the Giants’ defense played with an edge against the Browns. Brian Burns, Elijah Chatman, Azeez Ojulari, and Jason Pinnock each recorded a sack for New York.
Dexter Lawrence recorded two sacks for the New York Giants. Micah McFadden, Bobby Okereke, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, and Kayvon Thibodeaux each recorded 0.5 sacks against the Cleveland Browns. The Giants’ defense had their best performance yet of the season.
It will be interesting to see if the New York Giants’ defense can play well once again on Thursday night against the Dallas Cowboys. The Browns offense has a lot of questions to answer about quarterback Deshaun Watson. The Giants defensive line dominated the line of scrimmage.
Watson did not light up the scoreboard. He completed 21-of-37 passes for 196 yards two touchdowns and zero interceptions. Deshaun Watson got away with throwing interceptions against the Giants.
