The New York Giants are counting on big things from second-year wide receiver Jalin Hyatt.

One year removed from choosing Hyatt in the third round of the 2023 draft, the former University of Tennessee standout could easily emerge as one of the Giants’ starting receivers opposite first-round pick Malik Nabers in Daniel Jones’ supporting cast.
During a May 31 OTA practice, Hyatt sure looked like he’s capable of building Jones’ confidence in him, pulling down an insane one-handed catch.

Hyatt caught 23 passes for 373 yards as a rookie, but is still in search of his first career touchdown.
New York Giants have High Hopes for Jalin Hyatt

But, Giants general manager Joe Schoen and the organization have high hopes for Hyatt in the offense this season, and beyond.
“Having an offensive head coach,” Schoen told reporters prior to the NFL Draft. “I probably definitely said that at some point. No, it can. It can really help you out, especially the way we’re constructed now. Jalin Hyatt can take the top off, Wan’Dale working in the slot. I think you can really see what he was able to do late in the season when he was finally healthy. Darius Slayton has been uber-consistent during his time.”
New York’s receiving corps of Nabers, Hyatt, Robinson, and Slayton has the potential to be the most explosive, even if inexperienced, that Jones has had at his disposal to this point in his career.
If Jones’ off-target throw and Hyatt’s remarkable adjustment to make the catch are any indication, that optimism and excitement about the Giants’ receiving corps — and the former Volunteer standout could prove to be more than justified.
