The New York Giants are 1-3 to start the year after losing to the Dallas Cowboys 20-15 on Thursday night. Dallas is 2-2 on the year, but the Giants could have very well won that game. Brian Daboll is in his third season as Giants’ head coach and many will wonder if he will get a fourth season.

A lot of fans think Daboll will get a fourth season because he is very limited with quarterback Daniel Jones. Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen are trying to rebuild this team year by year.
Former New York Giants Player Chris Canty Makes Stunning Take About Brian Daboll

Former Giants defensive tackle Chris Canty won a Super Bowl during the 2011 season against the New England Patriots. Canty had Eli Manning as his quarterback and Tom Coughlin as his head coach. Chris Canty went onto the show Get Up on ESPN on Friday morning. Canty said:
“[Brian Daboll] is toast. He’s done. He’s the biggest loser coming out of last night. … Daniel Jones has a better chance of being back next year than Brian Daboll does.”
This was a very shocking statement made by him. Daboll appears to be limited by Daniel Jones. Jones has not thrown for three touchdown passes in a single game in the regular season in years. Daboll was not the one who underthrew his wide receivers on Thursday night. Blame, general manager Joe Schoen for doubling down on Jones for the 2024 season. They will want to get their quarterback for the 2025 season in the NFL Draft.

Daboll deserves a chance to actually work with a competent QB

There is a great chance that they cut Daniel Jones before the 2025 season. If the Giants continue to lose, Brian Daboll will have to start either Drew Lock or Tommy DeVito at some point. The Giants don’t want to be responsible for the injury settlement kicking in for Jones for the 2025 season. Getting rid of Daboll after this season would not be a good move for them.
