The New York Giants on Sunday afternoon lost to the Atlanta Falcons 34-7 to drop to 2-13 on the season. New York has lost its 10th straight game and it is something they have never done in 100 years in the history of the franchise.
The Giants will only have two games remaining in the 2024 NFL season. They will face the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles in the final two games of the year. There is a great chance that the Giants won’t win either of those games.
New York Giants Are In Sole Possession Of the Number One Overall Pick In the 2025 NFL Draft
After the Las Vegas Raiders won against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday afternoon, the New York Giants went into sole possession of having the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft for now. With the Raiders winning, it was their third win of the season.
Entering Sunday, the Raiders had the number one pick and the Giants had the number two pick. With Las Vegas’s win, they dropped from one to six in the NFL Draft order. With New York potentially having the number one pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, they would have their choice of either selecting quarterback Shedeur Sanders from Colorado or Cam Ward from Miami.
The New York Giants need a new franchise quarterback. What the Giants also need to do is to fire head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen after the season ends. A lot of fans are upset with owner John Mara. They have not picked first overall since 1965.

The Giants path to the number 1 pick is to lose out. If they happen to win a game over the last two weeks they would drop significantly unless a whole bunch of 3 win teams win a game

The New York Giants will have to start over if they get the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft also. There is no reason to keep this current regime if it happens.
