The New York Giants are hunting for a new starting quarterback for the 2025 season and beyond. They will have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
It is going to be interesting to see what the Giants quarterback plans are. One name that has been floating around for New York to sign this offseason is Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is moving on from the New York Jets.
New York Giants Writer Art Stapleton Reports That They are Interested In Aaron Rodgers
On Thursday, New York Giants writer for NJ.com Art Stapleton appeared on the Pat McAfee Show about the potential Aaron Rodgers rumors. Stapleton said:
“My understanding is that the Giants are significantly interested in Aaron Rodgers.. I don’t think it would be a shock to people if he was the Giants Quarterback next season.”
A lot of Giants fans could be looking forward to Rodgers putting on a jersey for their football team next season. Last season with the Jets, he completed 63.0% of his passes for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions.
If they were to sign him, there is a very good chance that he is New York’s starting quarterback for next season. This would be a significant move for general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll.

Signing Aaron Rodgers will not be the only move that the Giants will make at the position potentially this offseason. New York will either draft Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders in the 2025 NFL Draft as well. There is a chance that the Giants have Rodgers start next season and have Ward or Sanders sitting behind him and learning.
A lot of fans did not like the fact that Joe Schoen and Brian Daboll were brought back. However, signing Rodgers would be a step in the right direction for this fanbase also.
