The New York Giants finished the season with a 3-14 record. On Monday morning, owner John Mara announced that he decided to retain head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen for another season.
Next year will be the fourth season of the Schoen and Daboll regime. A lot of New York Giants fans are not thrilled that both of them are back next season. The Giants will have the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
New York Giants Owner John Mara Makes Baffling Comments On Monday Morning
The Giants owner met with the media on Monday morning. Next season, New York will need to show major progress or there is a chance that Schoen and Daboll are both shown the door during the 2025 season or after the season if no progress is made. John Mara said to the media on Monday:
“It better not take too long, because I’ve just about run out of patience.”
John Mara has been impulsive about a lot of things. Well, if he ran out of patience with them, then why did he bring Daboll and Schoen back for 2025? Mara’s decisions over the last decade is one of the reasons why the Giants organization is one of the worst in the NFL.

A lot of Giants fans are worried that general manager Joe Schoen will overspend in free agency this offseason. Schoen and Daboll also need to find a quarterback either through the NFL Draft in 2025, trade, or free agency as well.
