The New York Giants will no doubt need to fix its quarterback room this offseason. New York will be looking to explore all avenues for the upcoming 2025 NFL season.

The Giants may very well have assembled the worst quarterback room in the NFL last season with Daniel Jones, Tommy DeVito, Drew Lock, and Tim Boyle. One name who could be an intriguing trade candidate for the New York Giants this offseason is Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford. New York also owns the third overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
Rumors Of the New York Giants Trading For Los Angeles Rams Quarterback Matthew Stafford Begin To Swirl On Twitter On Monday

On Monday, there was an interesting report from ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Schefter said:
“Giants are hiring former Jaguars and Bills WR coach Chad Hall as their assistant quarterbacks coach, per source. Hall now reunites with his former Bills colleagues, HC Brian Daboll and GM Joe Schoen, in New York. Hall also is the brother-in-law of current Rams QB Matthew Stafford.”
This is very interesting timing that the Giants would hire someone very close to Matthew Stafford. The Rams may move off of him this offseason. Matthew Stafford this past season with Los Angeles completed 65.8% of his passes for 3,762 yards, 20 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. He is 37 years old. Stafford would be an intriguing bridge option for the Giants.
With Schefter reporting this news, this is where the Stafford to the Giants rumors are starting to swirl. This will be a story to watch for as the offseason progresses.

If the New York Giants do trade for Matthew Stafford, would they still draft Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders third overall to sit behind Stafford or would they draft somebody else? That is the multimillion-dollar question for General Manager Joe Schoen. There is a lot of unpredictability for this franchise this offseason.
Fixing the quarterback room will be the first thing this franchise has to focus on this offseason. Schoen and Daboll will be on the hot seat entering next season. It is also important for wide receiver Malik Nabers to be happy for the long haul.
