The 2-7 New York Giants play against the 2-7 Carolina Panthers in Munich, Germany, for their tenth regular season game of the 2024 season. The Giants have struggled to find a viable replacement for their star left tackle Andrew Thomas, who will miss the rest of 2024 with a Lisfranc injury, pressing their luck with Joshua Ezeudu and Chris Hubbard for the past three games, but to no avail. For the third time in four weeks, they will make another change to the blindside position.

The New York Giants have made their decision regarding the starting LT

The expectation is for Jermaine Eluemunor to start at left tackle and serve as Daniel Jones’ blindside protector for Sunday’s game. Eluemunor has primarily played on the right side of the offensive line throughout his tenure in the National Football League, starting six at RG and 41 at RT. However, he does have some experience on the left side, with seven starts at LT, including two in 2023.
Since Eluemunor is moving over from the right to the left side, the Giants need to fill in his old starting spot. They appear to have made their decision.
The New York Giants will give their former 1st round pick another shot

According to Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, the expectation is for Evan Neal to start at right tackle. Neal hasn’t started this season because he recovered from last season’s ankle injury and wasn’t activated from the PUP list until the middle of August. He has only played two snaps as the tight end/sixth offensive lineman this season.
#Giants expected to start Evan Neal @AlabamaFTBL at right tackle Sunday for @NFL international game against #Panthers in Munich, Germany, per a league source @KPRC2 #NFL #Germany

Neal struggled tremendously at the start of his NFL career because he exclusively played at right tackle despite having success at left tackle in his final season with the Alabama Crimson Tide. Since he’s more comfortable at left tackle, fans are upset that he’s back at right tackle, especially with Andrew Thomas out of the lineup.
Fans erupt over the news

Another mistake. He should be at LT. Now Jones is gonna get slammed from both sides.

It really makes no sense to me. Should’ve tried him at LT at least for 1 game. He was a LT in college. Now, they’re messing with the OL.

Wow. The end is near. Mara must be speaking with Belichick already.

Wasn’t Neal a natural left tackle? Why not LT and keep Eluemunor at his comfort zone. If it doesn’t work, then flip them

So expect panthers to win tomorrow?

Should be Evan Neal at left tackle

You don’t have to look far for why offensive line play is so bad in the NFL. It’s not a mystery.
Evan Neal was a LT at Bama. The giants made him move to RT because of Thomas
Eluemunor said he doesn’t want to play LT, never played it. Giants are STILL moving him to LT https://t.co/QG3bDyMmJ2

Can’t be worse than all we’ve seen right? Hopefully..
— Mike’s End Zone 🇺🇸 (@MikesEndZone) November 9, 2024
Neal played LT in college and so far has a far better track record on that side. Much easier to put him there and not switch Eluemunor.
— Tengen (@Malnoya) November 9, 2024
Wish they moved him to LT and kept Elemenur on the right side. Can’t get much worse at LT
