    “Welcome”: New York Giants Fans React to Top Prospects Cryptic Post

    East Rutherford, NJ -- July 24, 2024 -- General manager, Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll prior to the first day of training camp for the 2024 New York Giants.

    The New York Giants have the third overall pick of the 2025 NFL Draft and a chance to select one of the premier players in this draft class. With less than two weeks until Roger Goodell announces the picks at the podium in Green Bay, the first two selections are taking shape. The Tennessee Titans will likely draft Cam Ward with the first pick, and the Cleveland Browns are leaning toward Travis Hunter with the second pick, potentially allowing the Giants to select the top remaining player with the third pick.

    One of the top defensive prospects is currently visiting with the team.

    The Giants hosted Penn State Nittany Lions’ elite pass rusher Abdul Carter for a Top-30 visit on Thursday and Friday. Carter is the top pass-rushing prospect after switching from off-ball linebacker to full-time EDGE rusher during his junior year. The Giants could be in play for him with the aforementioned players off the board, even though they already have Brian Burns and Kayvon Thibodeaux. However, teams can never have enough pass rushers on their roster, and it wouldn’t be smart to pass up on someone with immense talent and potential.

    Carter added fuel to the fire with a cryptic post.

    Earlier on Friday, Abdul Carter posted a picture of former New York Giants Hall of Fame legend Lawrence Taylor on his X account. At the bottom of the photograph, the caption read, “Once a Giant, always a Giant.” This recent post has garnered over 1.2 million views, and many fans are in a frenzy, speculating that he could potentially be the guy at pick No.3.
