The New York Giants and the New York Jets are both 2-3 to start the 2024 NFL season, but context matters with both teams. The Giants have shown more signs of life with Daniel Jones at quarterback compared to the Jets with Aaron Rodgers.
The Giants appear to be heading in the right direction with Brian Daboll as head coach and the Jets just fired Robert Saleh as head coach. Jeff Ulbrich is the new interim head coach for the New York Jets for the remainder of the 2024 NFL season.
NFL Fans Explode That New York Giants Quarterback Daniel Jones Has Better Stats Than New York Jets Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Through the First Five Games Of the 2024 Season
Many people thought that the Giants were going to bench Daniel Jones at some point and many thought that Aaron Rodgers was going to be the New York Jets savior. Well, both of those statements appear to be false for the start of the 2024 NFL season.
This season, Rodgers has completed 61.0% of his passes for 1,093 yards, seven touchdowns, and four interceptions. His passer rating is 81.6. As for Daniel Jones, he has completed 64.0% of his passes for 1,138 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. His passer rating is 86.3. Fans had massive reactions to these stats:
Are you telling me Daniel jones is better than Aaron Rodgers

Stats don’t tell near the whole truth. Daniels had a much better season on film then rodgers

The fact that Jones is having a better season than the future Hall of Fame quarterback is wild. The New York Giants may not make the playoffs in 2024, but they didn’t have the expectations that the New York Jets did.
Same Old Jets
No matter how bad the Giants are, the New York Jets will always be worse than them. The Giants made it to the playoffs two years ago with Daniel Jones and Brian Daboll. As for the Jets, they haven’t been there since 2010 and Aaron Rodgers is not the savior they thought he would be.
This is an interesting story to watch for in the remainder of the 2024 NFL season. If Jones were to lead the Giants to playoffs somehow and the Jets missed with Aaron Rodgers, oh dear Neptune.
