The New York Giants will have many players on the bubble entering training camp. Some players have already locked up spots on the 53-man roster and some players will have to earn their way to make it.
There will be a ton of questions about the New York Giants roster entering this season, especially the quarterback position. It appears as if Daniel Jones will be the starting quarterback over Drew Lock, but there will be more questions than just that. Tommy DeVito will also look to make noise during training camp. He was a fan favorite a season ago.

Will Jones be able to stay healthy all season for the New York Giants? Who will he throw to? Those are just some of the questions that they will have to answer.
New York Giants Second-Year Wide Bryce Ford-Wheaton Who Was a Former West Virginia Mountaineers Standout Is In Danger Of Missing the 53-man Roster

Last preseason, Ford-Wheaton suffered a torn ACL. This came after making a ton of noise during OTAs and training camp for the Giants last year.
He was signed as an undrafted free agent from the West Virginia Mountaineers in 2023. In the 2022 season with West Virginia, he caught 62 passes for 675 yards receiving and seven touchdowns, along with 10.9 yards per reception.
His college production is what made New York Giants fans excited about him when they signed him as an undrafted free agent. Now, it appears as if he may miss the 53-man roster once again this season. Bryce Ford-Wheaton suffered a sprained shoulder during a mandatory minicamp.

This will not help his cause come training camp time. Ford-Wheaton is buried on the Giants depth chart at the wide receiver position. On the current depth chart, the projected wide receivers to make the roster are Malik Nabers, Darius Slayton. Wan’Dale Robinson, Jalin Hyatt, Allen Robinson, and Isaiah McKenzie. Gunner Olszewski will probably make the roster as a special teams player.
Isaiah Hodgins can very well be cut. Bryce Ford-Wheaton is also behind Miles Boykin on the depth chart. It is unfortunate for the former West Virginia product to have luck not on his side. Bryce Ford-Wheaton’s realistic chance is to make the practice squad, but that may not even happen with the New York Giants. He might need to find another opportunity to arise elsewhere if he wants to get his chance.
