Andrew Thomas suffered a significant foot injury in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals despite playing every single offensive snap. Tests determined that he sustained a Lisfranc injury, typically carrying a six-to-twelve-month recovery time. As a result, Thomas missed spring practices and could open training camp on the active/PUP list.
New York Giants’ All-Pro’s Week 1 status unknown
During Monday’s appearance with John Schmeelk of the Giants Huddle podcast, Andrew Thomas provided an injury update. Right now, the Second-Team All-Pro tackle is “feeling good,” is taking his time, and doing everything the trainers are telling him to do. However, Thomas did not commit to playing in Week 1 but is hopeful.
“I’m feeling good. Just taking my time with it. Don’t really have a projection right now, but I’m doing everything that the trainers are telling me and hopefully, I am ready to go,” Thomas said.
