The New Orleans Saints land a running back
The New Orleans Saints are set to have an improved offense next season. The Saints made one of the biggest signings of the offseason when they inked Pro Bowl quarterback Derek Carr. Carr will now have an offensive weapon in the backfield to help the Saints compete in a weak NFC South division in 2023.
According to Adam Schefter with ESPN, the Saints have agreed to a three-year deal with former Deroit Lions running back Jamaal Williams. The Lions recently signed former Chicago Bears running back David Montgomery. The contract is worth $12 million, and $8 million of that will be fully guaranteed.

Williams was a former fourth-round pick taken by the Green Bay Packers in 2017. He signed a two-year deal with the Lions in 2021. Williams ran for 1,066 yards and 17 touchdowns for the Lions last season. The 27-year-old should be a big-time addition to the Saints’ offense.
