The New Orleans Saints completed their final practice on Friday at Irvine, California. The Saints travel to Levi’s Stadium to face off against the San Francisco 49ers for their second preseason game on Sunday at 7:00 P.M. CT. The 49ers are favored by 1.5 points in this preseason game, and the over/under is 38.5.
It’s unclear whether their rookie offensive tackle will suit up for the game.
The New Orleans Saints rookie is dealing with an injury
Taliese Fuaga exited Thursday’s practice with an apparent back injury. Dennis Allen, after Thursday’s practice, gave a brief injury update.
“All I know is they took him in probably during the individual period, he had some back tightness. It looked to me like prior to even starting practice he was stretching his back out maybe a little bit, so I don’t know if that was starting to bother him beforehand.”
Fuaga missed Friday’s practice, and it’s unclear whether he will play in their second preseason game. Allen isn’t too concerned about the injury and told reporters if he’s healthy enough to play, he will play Sunday night.
The New Orleans Saints rookie should be ready for Week 1
Even if Taliese Fuaga does miss their second and third preseason game, the injury isn’t considered significant or long-term. Dennis Allen stated that fans shouldn’t worry about him missing Week 1.
“I would tell you, you can go home and rest at night fairly comfortably,” Allen said Friday.
NFL fans react to the promising injury update
So everyone on here hyperventilating yesterday like he was hospitalized and in traction, calm down. LOL

Conclusion
To conclude, Taliese Fuaga exited Thursday’s practice with back stiffness. His injury isn’t considered significant or long-term. If he is healthy enough to play Sunday, he will play. Finally, if he isn’t healthy enough to play in the preseason, Dennis Allen isn’t concerned about him missing Week 1.
In the meantime, Landon Young and Oli Udoh will alternate at left tackle.
