The first preseason game for the Saints is on Saturday. Earlier this year I wrote an article for a season preview for the saints now this one I am predicting the season. With another schedule ranked in the top 10 in strength, this could be a good thing for the Saints.
2022 Record: 10-7
Falcons
This is a win. Marcus Mariota starting quarterback, and Tyler Allgeier potential starting running back. The offense is still trying to get their feet underneath them so our defense should cause problems for the Falcon’s offense. The Falcon’s defense has some faces too so they aren’t quite clicking yet.
Buccaneers
This is a win the Bucs will not beat us in week two of this season and the Saints will keep their streak going. Even with all the returners from last year’s team, the Saints will get the win at home.
Panthers
This is our second game on the road and I think it will be a problem for the Saints. The Panthers also have a new quarterback either Baker Mayfield or Sam Darold. Their defense is full of new faces so this should be another good way for the Saint’s offense to continue to build momentum. I have us losing this game.
Vikings
This is a win so that puts the Saints at 3-1. The Vikings have always had a big run game and we have the line to stop them this year.
Seahawks
A win here isn’t going to be easy but it will be fun to watch. The Seahawks have a new quarterback, but most of the other positions are returning this year. The Saints will win this game and go to 4-1.
Bengals
This is a loss for the Saints. After the Bengals, last season they are going to be hot, and not many teams are going to be able to stop them. They have too many returner starters for the Saints to stop them. This will put them at 4-2
Cardinals
This is another loss for the Saints. Kyler Murray is a strong running quarterback and on defense is JJ Watt one of the top defensive linemen in the country and there is no way the offensive line is going to stop them. With these two starters who can run over a team, it will put the Saints at 4-3
Raiders
This will be a close win for the Saints. Even with Derek Carr and Davante Adams playing ball as they did together in college. Their defensive line is strong but with Winston in the backfield and Hill running around on offense where ever the Saints need him they could come out with the win. 5-3
Ravens
This will be a win and put the Saints at 6-3. The Ravens have some returners and this could be a deadly combo but that is if they can stay healthy before making it to game nine.
Steelers
The defense many are saying could be better than last year so this could be a problem for the Saint’s offense. Their offense is still having questions to answer at many positions including quarterback. This will be a win for the Saints and put them at 7-3
Rams
This will be a loss and put them at 7-4. The defending super bowl champs will come to New Orleans and beat the Saints in a not-close win.
49ersTr
This will also be a loss and a 7-5 record. The 49ers are too strong on both sides of the ball for the Saints to stop them on defense and get to Trey Lance on offense.
Buccaneers
This will be another win against the Bucs and put them at 8-5.
Falcons
Another win against the Falcons and a 9-5 record.
Browns
Still have no clue who is going to play quarterback for the Browns yet. This is going to be a win. Their defense though is strong and might pose a problem for the Saint’s defense. 10-5 record.
Eagles
This will be a close loss for the Saints and put them at 10-6. Jalen Hurts a duel threat quarterback with some guys he played with in college is a dangerous offense for any team to play against.
Panthers
This will also be a loss because the Saints may be down some key players by this put in the season. The Saints will end the season at 10-7.
