“New England vs Everybody”: NFL Fans Erupt as Robert Kraft Joins Bill Belichick on Hall of Fame Rejection List

Robert Kraft is widely considered as one of the most successful, if not the most successful owner in NFL history. He is known for being responsible for creating the New England Patriots dynasty that won six Super Bowls along with legendary head coach Bill Belichick, and quarterback Tom Brady, both of whom are also considered the best in their respective roles.
The Patriots won the Super Bowl in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, and 2018 and are equaled with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the most by any team. Kraft is generally considered responsible for creating the best team in the league’s history. And yet it seems that he is not receiving the recognition he deserves for his efforts.

Robert Kraft gets snub from Hall of Fame

The Pro Football Hall of Fame has yet again caused a huge controversy after excluding Kraft from the Class of 2026, just days after doing the same for Belichick. The news has been reported by ESPN, who said that the Patriots owner was a finalist in the contributor category but will not be inducted when the Class of 2026 is officially revealed during the NFL Honors event in San Francisco on Thursday night.

Similar to Belichick, he could not get the required minimum 40 votes out of 50. The reasons behind it appear unclear as of yet, but could be due to past controversies like Spygate and Deflategate. Kraft was previously nominated for the Class of 2013, and has been eligible for it the last 14 years. This year was the first time that he was selected as a finalist.

Kraft bought the Patriots in 1994 for an amount of $172 million. At the time, it was a struggling franchise with no success and one of the lowest attendance rates of all teams. Hiring Belichick in 2000 and drafting Brady in the same year, they went on to form one of the most successful and dominant NFL franchise of all time. They had the best winning percentage over two decades, and appeared in nine Super Bowl games.

Due to his vast success with the Patriots, many believe that it was an unfair decision to snub him and Belichick as well. They believe that the voters made the wrong decision and are motivated by jealousy and past grudges against the team’s previous dominance.

Fans call out HOF for Robert Kraft snub

Many social media users could not believe that such a successful owner could be snubbed, and only days after the same happened to Belichick. They took to the comments to voice their displeasure with the HOF voters and criticized them.

One user wrote, “It’s truly a testament to how dominant of a franchise the patriots have been, that sure fire first ballot HOFers are getting snubbed because the jealousy is so strong. The NFL should be embarrassed.”

A second user said, “Time to clean house of all voters. The collusion and disrespect to Bill Belichick and Robert Kraft is unprecedented. Pro Football Hall of Fame has become a joke.”

A third remarked, “Kraft not getting in while owning 6 Super Bowl rings is wild. What more does the man need to do? Politics clearly playing a role here.”

Another added, “Absolutely ridiculous. New England vs Everybody.”

A fifth commented, “Kraft snubbed again for HOF. Belichick too. Rigged or just petty? 😡”

A sixth explained, “Whoever is on the voting committee responsible for this continues to look very petty. Kraft and Belichick are obviously no brainer selections. Everything is politics I guess.”

Robert Kraft will be hoping to see his Patriots become the most successful NFL team ever when they face the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday for a chance to become 7-time Super Bowl champions.
