The New England Patriots sign a linebacker
The New England Patriots have made some important signings in free agency so far. The Patriots weren’t sure if they’d be able to re-sign cornerback Jonathan Jones this offseason, but he’ll return to New England next season. The team recently re-signed another defender.
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, the Patriots will re-sign linebacker Mack Wilson for one season. The contract is for up to $2.2 million for the 2023 season.

Brown was initially drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2019 in the fifth round. He made 36 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, and had one forced fumble for the Patriots last season.
The Patriots have made a few gains for the offense this week as well. They signed offensive tackle Riley Reiff this week. They made a major move on Wednesday by agreeing to terms with JuJu Smith-Schuster, who had a great season with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2022.
