New England Patriots re-sign defender
The New England Patriots have made crucial signings this week on both sides of the ball. The team has added two weapons to the offense at pass-catching positions to help third-year quarterback Mac Jones in 2023. The Patriots have re-signed some ball hawks on the defense, none bigger than retaining the services of cornerback Jonathan Jones. The team will re-sign another defender for 2023.
According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, the Patriots have re-signed defensive tackle Daniel Ekuale.

The 29-year-old defensive lineman was initially signed by the Cleveland Browns in 2018. He’s been with the Patriots since the 2021 season. Ekuale missed the first two games of the 2022 season due to a league suspension. But he played the rest of the season for the Patriots, and it wound up being the best statistical year in his NFL career. Eukale finished with two sacks and 14 total tackles last season.
