The New England Patriots have added some great depth and talent in the first wave of Free Agency, and many people are now looking towards the NFL Draft. There is always quite a bit of uncertainty when it comes to the Draft, but one thing is clear, New England needs to hit a few home runs in April. So what could the Draft class possibly look like? Here is my March Mock Draft for the New England Patriots.
Round 1: Travis Hunter, WR/CB, Colorado

The Patriots currently sit at fourth overall in the Draft, and lucky for them, there are three quarterback needy teams ahead of them. This could lead to the best player in the Draft, Travis Hunter, falling to them. Hunter is considered by many to be the best receiver in the Draft, and that is exactly what the Patriots need. He is an elite athlete that has incredible route running skills. Bringing him to Foxborough, would give New England a number one weapon to grow and develop with quarterback Drake Maye.
Round 2: Aireontae Ersery, OT, Minnesota

With their second round pick, the Patriots select Aireontae Ersery, offensive tackle from Minnesota. Ersery is an impressive tackle prospect, and is viewed by many as a late first round pick. However, if the Patriots want to get aggressive and trade up from pick thirty-eight into the back half of the first round, Ersery could be a great addition. He has the size and talent to develop into a franchise left tackle, that will protect Drake Maye’s blind side for years to come.
Round 3: Quinshon Judkins, RB, Ohio State

The Patriots currently hold multiple third round picks, and here I have them selecting a true game breaker at the running back position. Quinshon Judkins would be a great fit in the Josh McDaniels offense. Judkins is a true three down back who can contribute in both the running game and the passing game. He has impressive burst through the line of scrimmage and carries the ball with serious juice. He has the potential to turn any play into a touchdown and is a piece this offense could desperately use.
Round 3: Emery Jones Jr., OT, LSU

New England has the luxury of having multiple third round picks this year, and with their second selection of round three, I have them taking offensive lineman from LSU, Emery Jones Jr. Jones is a right tackle that has some problems when it comes to pass protection. He is a little slow getting into his sets, but still played at a high level in the SEC. With good coaching and time to develop he could be a solid starter for New England in his second year. Luckily for him, the Patriots recently signed veteran right tackle Morgan Moses, who would be the perfect mentor for Jones.
Round 4: Terrance Ferguson, TE, Oregon

The 2025 NFL Draft is loaded at the tight end position, which is going to cause extremely talented players to fall down certain draft boards, and allow them to be available later. In the fourth round, I have the Patriots dipping into the tight end class and bringing in Terrance Ferguson from Oregon as another weapon for Drake Maye to grow and develop with. Ferguson is not a great blocker, and it’s clear that he specializes in the receiving game. If there is anybody that can find ways to get Ferguson involved and play to his strengths, it’s Patriots Offensive Coordinator, Josh McDaniels. Ferguson could be incredibly productive with a talented quarterback like Drake Maye throwing him the ball. This could turn into a great, late round pickup for New England.
What type of impact could this Draft Class have on the Patriots in 2025?

This Draft Class could have a massive impact on not only the Patriots, but the development of Drake Maye as well. By adding a playmaker like Travis Hunter to pair with Stefon Diggs and Maye, it would create a much more dynamic offense in 2025. Also by adding multiple offensive linemen, it would create more security for Maye, by beefing up the offensive line. This would allow Offensive Coordinator, Josh McDaniels to create something truly special in New England.
