The New England Patriots are perhaps the least talented team on paper in all of the NFL.
It’s no secret that the New England Patriots are in the midst of a rebuild. Out goes Mac Jones and (likely) Bailey Zappe, in steps Drake Maye and Jacoby Brissett under center in Foxboro.
Out with the old and in with the new is the motto for first-year head coach, Jerod Mayo and the Patriots as the club looks to the core of the aforementioned Maye as well as young starters Rhamondre Stevenson and DeMario Douglas as well as rookie wideouts, Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker to provide some much-needed speed and talent infusion to a roster that desperately needs it.
New England Patriots Skill Positions Depth Chart
- QB: Drake Maye (R), Jacoby Brissett, Joe Milton III (R), Bailey Zappe
- RB: Rhamondre Stevenson, Antonio Gibson, JaMycal Hasty, Kevin Harris
- WR: DeMario Douglas, Ja’Lynn Polk (R), Kendrick Bourne, Javon Baker (R), JuJu Smith-Schuster, Tyquan Thornton, Kayshon Boutte
- TE: Hunter Henry, Austin Hooper, Jaheim Bell (R), Mitchell Wilcox
With a year of rebuilding likely for the six-time Super Bowl champions, 2024 will be a year of development for the new regime in Foxboro. When will Drake Maye make his first start? Will Ja’Lynn Polk and Javon Baker be the explosive duo the offense desperately needs? Will the major questions along the left side of the offensive line sort itself out?
All that and more will be answered in just a few months.
