Former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has made several headlines this offseason. It started when Belichick and Patriots owner Robert Kraft announced that they would mutually part ways. After that, the hot gossip of the offseason involved Belichick’s new romantic relationship with a 24-year-old woman.
So, what is Bill Belichick up to now? Well, expect to see him on your television or computer screens throughout the NFL season in his new media role.
Bill Belichick Joining “Inside the NFL” Cast
According to Ari Meirov of The 33rd Team, former New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick will join the “Inside the NFL” cast this upcoming season. He will join other former NFL players on this cast including Ryan Clark, Chad Johnson, and Chris Long. The series will air on The CW with these other cast members for the second straight season.

“Inside the NFL” has seen several changes in the last few years. This is only the second season that they are sticking with most of the same cast members on The CW. However, Belichick is certainly a big addition to an already stacked cast.
Before moving to The CW in 2023, “Inside the NFL” aired on the Paramount+ streaming service. However, that only lasted for two seasons from 2021-22. Before Paramount+, the show ran on Showtime from 2008-2021.
Believe it or not, “Inside the NFL” has a long history on television. The show has been around since 1978. It aired on HBO from 1978 to 2007 before ending its original run. Now, the addition of Belichick is likely another attempt at extending the life of this historic NFL show.

So, what does this mean for Belichick? Well, it is another step away from the football field while gaining an opportunity to remain in the spotlight. Belichick has not officially retired from the NFL. However, given his age, the decline of the New England Patriots, and the news surrounding his love life, many would be surprised to see him return as a head coach at this stage of his life.
Still, there is no question Bill Belichick can still offer a lot of insight to the football world. The CW seems to believe this and as arguably the greatest head coach in NFL history, it will be interesting to hear Belichick’s public thoughts on the state of the game.
