It is that time of the week you filthy animals, it is time for the N.F.L. locks with your boy Johnny B. The reason you read, the reason you watch, the reason you ride with me is simple. With me, y’all know, Units Only Go Up. That is not just a catch phrase or a great T-shirt. It is a matter of facts.
Now I have decided to bring my talents to the big show because I feel the people deserve that. So far this year I am at 5-3 on the N.F.L. board and this week we are going 5-0. You are all oh so very welcome for these locks of the week.
Starting, I love the 49ers -1.5 @ Denver. Johnny why would you pick against Wilson and the hometown defense in Denver? Good question, firstly, I honestly think Wilson is not well liked in the locker room at all and to be honest the best thing that happened to the 49ers was Lance going down. I don’t like that he is injured, but it was always Jimmy G for San Fran. He is the best option for playing QB for the Bay area boys and will prove it this weekend with a huge game.
Week 1 everyone fell in love with Geno and Seattle pulling the “upset” on the Russel and Broncos. A lot of people were saying that Geno could be the guy to stabilize in Seattle. Let me tell you something, they are wrong, very wrong. Atlanta goes into Seattle and will be surprisingly very humbled. Falcons +1.5 on the road, because they are a very frisky team overall.
If you know me as a gambler, and if you don’t you should, because I am one of the best on the internet. Stats are for lazy people who don’t have 5 TV’s and the red-zone channel on. I pick on feeling, my eyes, and the wealth of football knowledge I have acquired. This game is exactly that and I have to pick Taylor Lewan and the boys for the Titans +1.5 vs. the Raiders. I had to make the Titans apart of locks of the week.
Each episode of locks of the week, I take my time and go through each game and the possible outcomes. This game I won’t lie I didn’t do that. The Saints -3 @ the Panthers is as close to a sure thing as you can have in sports betting. The Saints coming off a tough loss to the Buccaneers, with the fight and Jamies forcing the ball late in the game to make it look worse. That won’t happen here, and the Saints defense will shut down the Panthers in every facet of the game. Also the Saints will be able to run the ball and open up play action, this game might get out of hand quick.
Finally my locks of the week takes me to MetLife Stadium. Now I hate both of these teams, a lot. This is a game where I believe the public will all be on Dallas. Everyone loves the Cowboys after the big upset win at home vs. the Bengals. Well I’m not public and I always fade them, give me the home team Giants -1.5. I won’t lie this game could be 13-10 and that score might be too high. This is two very inept teams on offense with decent defenses and I just think the home field means 3 points so I will take the G-Men as my final lock of the week.
