After the Browns traded Baker Mayfield was traded to the Panthers, the Browns will probably be facing him in week one. So naturally, Myles Garrett was asked if he has thought about sacking Mayfield.
On Wednesday, Myles Garrett was asked if he has thought about sacking him, and Garrett said, “Not really.”

But, during a press conference at training camp, Garrett said that some of his friends have brought the idea up.
“I know some of my friends were. But they can make their jokes, they have fun with it. But I have a lot of time with Jacoby and all these other quarterbacks I’ve seen before, Dobbs. So, being able to work against them, work against Jed, and just try to improve on my technique, my fundamentals, and drive those points home with some of the younger guys, that’s all I’m really focused on. Week one and all that, that’s yet to come. We’ve still got preseason games and other things we’ve got to worry about.”

Myles Garrett wasn’t the only one to comment on it either. Greg Newsome II also commented on it.
“Nah, not yet, honestly. We know he’s obviously there. Everyone knows, but we’ve just kind of got to focus on ourselves right now. We’ve got to get through these practices. We’ve got to get through preseason and then we can focus on week one when he gets here.”
Last year, Garrett had a very solid season. He was in the Defensive Player of the Year talks for most of the season, but that honor was given to the Pittsburgh Steeler TJ Watt.
Garrett played in every game last season, and he was a problem for offenses. Garrett had 51 tackles, 16 sacks, 17 tackles for losses, 33 QB hits, three passes defended, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, and one touchdown.
