Following the report, the Browns released a statement on the incident.
“Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon after leaving the practice facility. He suffered non-life threatening injuries, was transported to a local hospital and we are in the process of gathering more information.”
After leaving the Browns’ practice facility earlier today in Berea, he crashed his Porsche on the side of the road. The car also flipped over several times before it came to a stop. There was also a female passenger who was in the car.
Both Garrett and the passenger were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The cause of the crash is not known as of now. But, alcohol and drugs are not suspected to be the cause of the accident.
Will Myles Garrett Play in Week Four?
Right now, it is unknown whether or not this will affect Garrett’s status for Cleveland’s week four game against the Atlanta Falcons.
But, if he does end up being out, hopefully, he’ll come back and return to dominating on the Browns’ defensive line. Cleveland’s defensive coordinator Joe Woods thinks that he is on another level this season.
“He’s playing at another level in practice. This guy is coming off the edge two feet from the ground. It’s impressive, and he looks like a running back playing defensive end.”
He added that he has the mindset to dominate this season.
“It’s just different. I don’t know. It’s just like he has a mindset to dominate and it’s just the focus. You can see it. It’s not that I am talking to him a lot – it is just like, ‘Man.’ Definitely looking forward to him having a big season for us.”
Hopefully, he can return from this and be even better.
