On Thursday Night Football last week, the Cleveland Browns played the Pittsburgh Steelers. And during the game, Myles Garrett supposedly had an uncalled roughing the passer penalty on Mitchell Trubisky. And per Tom Pelissro of NFL Network, Myles Garrett has been fined for the play.

Garrett got fined with the total amount being $15,914, but there is some controversy around the decision to fine him.

Myles Garrett Gets Fined, But What About Chuks Okorafor?

With Myles Garrett being fined for that one play, many are wondering why the NFL hasn’t done anything about the play that Chuks Okorafor was involved in.

In what was very clearly a bad decision, Anthony Walker got injured, and then Chuks Okorafor just jumped on top of him.

No idea how the refs missed this obvious penalty on a defenseless and injured Anthony Walker. He carted off with a right knee injury moments later.

Walker was carted off the field and is now out for the season. After the game, Sports Illustrated reported that Browns’ guard Wyatt Teller wanted the NFL to handle the situation that Chuks Okorafor caused.

“I pray that it was just a split-second decision and he made the wrong decision, which I’ve done. I’ve had late hits, inadvertent chop blocks or something crazy like that. But I don’t want to hurt them. There’s nasty stuff and then there’s inadvertent stuff and it seemed like that wasn’t exactly inadvertent. It seemed like he wanted to cause more pain, which is weird. But the NFL will handle that.”

But, it doesn’t look like the NFL is going to do anything about the situation that happened.

The Browns are now going into week four against the Atlanta Falcons, and they will be without Anthony Walker against them. Also, Myles Garrett will not be playing for Cleveland. This is due to the car crash that he was involved in.

It’s just yet another obstacle that the Cleveland Browns will have to overcome this season.
