The Cleveland Browns made a significant move on Sunday morning, reaching a contract extension with defensive end Myles Garrett.
The 29-year-old pass rusher demanded a trade at the beginning of February, but five weeks later, he decided to take Brown’s four-year extension to remain with the team through 2030.

Garrett wanted to get a deal done before NFL free agency started so he could recruit players to Cleveland, but during the first day of the NFL legal tampering period, the Browns have yet to make a move as of 5:00 PM ET.
Cleveland needs a quarterback, and two have already been signed, with Sam Darnold going to the Seattle Seahawks and Justin Fields heading to the New York Jets.
Browns fans have been upset that the team hasn’t made any moves throughout the day. Some fans even think Garrett could rethink the decision to stay with the Browns.
Fans took to social media to express frustration at the Cleveland Browns front office’s lack of moves.
Cleveland Browns Fans Reactions

“Myles is having second thoughts right now,” said one fan. While another fan was mad, the Browns didn’t do anything through the day’s first half. “The Cleveland Browns haven’t done anything, but none of their pending free agents have signed or been seriously linked to anyone either.”
The Browns still have a long offseason to go to make moves, and the most significant addition to their team will be what they do with the No. 2 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
