The New York Giants are trying to make the right roster cuts before the start of the 2025 season to get the roster to 53 players. With that being said, there are some cuts that fans will sometimes question before the start of the season.

One player who Giants fans liked this preseason was running back Dante Miller. However, Art Stapleton who covers the Giants for NJ.com said on his Twitter page Tuesday morning,
“Giants have waived Turbo Miller, per sources.”
This seems like a major surprise because he performed well during training camp and the preseason. Even though Miller only rushed for 80 yards on 26 carries and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 3.1 yards per carry, he showed some burst in his game. Miller also caught 14 passes for 135 yards receiving and zero touchdowns, along with averaging 9.6 yards per reception.
New York Giants Fans Livid Over Team Waiving Dante Miller

It is not a surprise that Cam Skattebo, Tyrone Tracy Jr., and Devin Singletary are going to make the roster at the running back position, but many were wondering who the fourth running back would potentially be. Many Giants fans thought Miller played well enough to be the fourth and final running back on the 53-man roster, but there is a chance that they may not keep four running backs on the roster.
This is what some New York fans said about Miller not making the team:

Smh . Miller was Electric! Singletary is slow moving

that’s crazy

A MISTAKE

A bad move plain and simple. The Bills connection Singletary has with Daboll is the reason for this because Miller is definitely better.

There have been a lot of Giants fans this preseason that have wanted the team to move on from Singletary and keep Miller on the roster. It appears as if New York fans are not going to get there wish. It will be interesting to see if Miller will get claimed on waivers.
What also will be interesting to see if is the Giants will find a way to keep four running backs on the roster or not. It would be a mistake for this team to only carry three running backs on the roster and not four. Having Miller off this roster is a questionable decision, but if he does clear waivers, the Giants must bring him back on the practice squad.
