The 24th-ranked Missouri Tigers play against the 23rd-ranked South Carolina Gamecocks at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, South Carolina, at 3:15 P.M. CT for their 10th game and 6th conference matchup. The Gamecocks’ defense has been outstanding and much improved from last season, thanks to their stout defensive front led by senior transfer Kyle Kennard, freshman phenom Dylan Stewart, and senior Tonka Hemingway, among others. The Tigers’ offensive line must be on their A-game against this stout defensive front.
Today would be a great day to have their star signal-caller available for this crucial matchup.
The Missouri Tigers’ star QB hasn’t played since Week 9
Despite suffering a high ankle sprain against the Auburn Tigers in Week 8, Missouri’s star quarterback Brady Cook started in Week 9 against the Alabama Crimson Tide. After playing the first 1.5 quarters of the game, Cook exited with five minutes left in the first half because of a wrist injury to his throwing hand. As a result, he would not return for the rest of the game.

The Tigers had a BYE in Week 10, allowing Cook an extra week to heal from his ankle and wrist injury. Unfortunately, he did not play in last week’s game against the Oklahoma Sooners.
Will he play today?
According to Pete Thamel of ESPN, although the Missouri Tigers listed Brady Cook as doubtful on Wednesday’s injury report, he will be a true game-time decision against the South Carolina Gamecocks this afternoon. Cook, who wants to play, will warm up before the game to see how he feels.

Who starts if he doesn’t play?
If Brady Cook cannot play, Drew Pyne will start for the second consecutive game. Pyne did not play well in relief of Cook against the Crimson Tide, completing six out of 12 pass attempts for 42 yards and three interceptions. He played better in their win over the Sooners, completing 14 out of 27 pass attempts for 143 yards and three touchdowns.
