Minnesota Vikings: Justin Jefferson’s Shocking Top 100 Ranking Revealed

Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson received a contract extension in the offseason. He is ready for the 2024 season. It will be interesting to see who Jefferson will be catching passes from this year. For now, Sam Darnold is projected to be the starting quarterback for the Vikings. Rookie quarterback J.J. McCarthy is projected to be the backup quarterback, but he may start at some point this season.

A season ago despite some of the injuries, Justin Jefferson caught 68 passes for 1,045 yards receiving and five touchdowns, along with averaging 15.8 yards per catch in 10 games played. Jefferson was also targeted 100 times. He was ranked 19th in the NFL last season in yardage despite missing time with an injury.

Some view Justin Jefferson as the top wide receiver in the NFL. On Wednesday night, the top 20-11 players were revealed in the NFL for the Top 100 Players for the 2023 season.

Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson was ranked 18th in the NFL Top 100 for the 2024 season. Last season, he was the second-ranked player in the entire NFL. There is no doubt a lot of people know he is a Top 5 player in the NFL and this feels like a very low and shocking ranking for him.

In the previous season, he played in all 17 games and caught 128 passes for 1,809 yards receiving and eight touchdowns, along with averaging 14.1 yards per catch. Jefferson is a total nightmare for opposing cornerbacks. If he is healthy for the full season, there could be a chance that he could have close to over 1,800 yards this season.

Fans React To This Shocking Ranking

There were a lot of fans who were not happy that Jefferson was not ranked in the Top 10 for the NFL Top 100. Tyreek Hill of the Miami Dolphins and Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders have yet to be named on this list. They are no doubt elite receivers in the NFL. However, Jefferson belongs in the Top 10 with them and the number 18 ranking feels too low for him.
