Josh Oliver had a good 2024 campaign, performing well in run blocking and posting career-highs in receiving. He hauled in 22 receptions on 28 targets for 258 yards and three touchdowns in 15 regular-season games and 12 starts. Oliver also posted an impressive 74.2 run-blocking grade, ranking first among qualified tight ends, according to PFF.
Oliver enters the final year of his three-year, $21 million contract. He is scheduled to earn a $7.95 million base salary, a $1.424 million prorated signing bonus, a $50,000 workout bonus, and a $9.424 million cap hit in 2025.
Minnesota Vikings secure key blocker to a 3-year deal

According to Adam Schefter, the Vikings and Josh Oliver have agreed to a contract extension. As Schefter points out, the deal is for three years, worth $23.25 million, up to $27.5 million, $11.9 million in new guarantees, and $19.9 million in total guarantees. As a result, Oliver is under contract through the 2028 season.
