The Minnesota Vikings improved their interior offensive line, but their backup depth weakened. Minnesota traded Ed Ingram and cut Garrett Bradbury, while Dan Feeney and Dalton Risner remain unsigned but could return. Their three backup interior linemen under contract have combined for three games and zero offensive snaps, which is not ideal if a key starter were to get injured.
Because of this, the Vikings could draft many offensive linemen in the upcoming draft for depth purposes.
Minnesota Vikings hosting versatile Big 12 offensive lineman

According to Ryan Fowler, the Vikings will host Arizona Wildcats offensive lineman Jonah Savaiinaea for a Top-30 visit. Savaiinaea is a versatile offensive lineman because he can play multiple positions along the offensive line, including starts at left tackle, right guard, and right tackle. Many scouts have him best suited to play guard in the NFL.

He had a great career with Arizona

Jonah Savaiinaea committed to the Arizona Wildcats as a three-star recruit for the 2022 season. He had a great career with Arizona and, as previously mentioned, saw playing time at left tackle, right guard, and right tackle in his career, totaling 36 starts.
Savaiinaea began his junior year as the starting right tackle and eventually took over as the starting left tackle following the injury to Rhino Tapa’atoutai. He allowed 15 pressures, nine hurries, two QB hits, and four sacks with six starts at RT and five at LT. He also posted an 82.7 pass-blocking, a 64.2 run-blocking, and a 75.9 overall PFF grade.
Here’s Lance Zierlein‘s scouting report on Jonah Savaiinaea

“Durable three-year starter who is built like a right guard but has valuable protection experience as a collegiate tackle. Savaiinaea doesn’t have the athleticism to stick at right tackle in the NFL, but can play there in a pinch with some help.
“He’s very wide and can engulf smaller opponents as a base blocker while sealing off double teams and down blocks. His feet often deaden on contact, creating opportunities for defenders to leak through his edges in both the run and pass games.
“Savaiinaea’s size works to his advantage and he could become a serviceable starting guard in time.”
Zierlein predicts that Savaiinaea will become a good backup with the potential to develop into a starter.
