Minnesota Vikings tight end T.J. Hockenson who had a pretty severe knee injury late in the last season is getting closer to making his way back to the playing field. A big part of the Vikings Offense, Hockenson has been plugging along in his rehabilitation and is almost ready to come off the PUP list.
The Minnesota Vikings have been very conservative with T. J. Hockenson, making sure he’s fully prepared to face the rigors that an NFL game entails. Sources suggest that the earliest he could return to action is October 24 on the Thursday night football face-off with the Los Angeles Rams or the following Sunday at home against the Indianapolis Colts.
Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson, coming off a major knee injury of his own, also is nearing a return to practice. The most likely return-to-play dates for Hockenson currently are the Thursday night, Oct 24 game in Los Angeles, or the following week’s home game against the Colts. https://t.co/TEEMCbA8si

Normally his timeline gives the Vikings a much-needed lift, but the Vikings seem to be cruising along this season with a record of 4-0, in their most recent win over the Green Bay Packers. Hockenson’s presence in the offense is believed to be a boom for the quarterback Sam Darnold since he’ll add another reliable target, especially in the critical red-zone.
Minnesota Vikings TE T.J. Hockenson Isn’t The Only Player Nearing A Return
The return of Hockenson isn’t the only notable return this week. Cleveland Browns, Nick Chubb, is also expected to return to practice soon. His horrific knee injury has kept him out since week 2 of last season.
Those who cheer for the Minnesota Vikings are looking forward to having him back on the field since Hockenson possesses the physical ability to be quick on his routes while still having the strength that is needed at the TE position. Which can highly help the team as it aims for a spot in the playoffs. For now, everyone will be watching the practice reports to see when Hockenson is back at practice.
