The Minnesota Vikings desperately need offensive line help, especially on the interior, after a rough year protecting Sam Darnold. Minnesota struggled to protect Darnold, surrendering the eighth-most pressures, the fifth-highest pressure percentage, and tied for the ninth-most sacks. Also, the Vikings currently have no guaranteed starters for any of the three interior offensive line positions next season.
A little while ago, the front office made their first roster move addressing the offensive line.
Minnesota Vikings set to sign 4x Pro Bowl offensive lineman

According to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the Vikings are set to sign Ryan Kelly to a multi-year contract. As Rapoport and Pelissero point out, the deal is for two years and is worth $18 million.
The #Vikings are expected to sign four-time Pro Bowl #Colts standout C Ryan Kelly, per me and @TomPelissero. A key veteran addition.

The newcomer was limited to ten games in 2024

Ryan Kelly missed seven games due to two separate injuries, causing him to play the fewest number of games since 2017. Kelly missed Weeks 4-5 with a neck injury and Weeks 10-15 with a calf and knee injury. However, when the 4x Pro Bowl center is healthy, he is one of the best in the league, averaging only 16.5 pressures and 1.5 sacks per season. Either way, having him in the starting lineup will help whomever their starting quarterback is in 2025.

Is the Minnesota Vikings starting center on the chopping block?

Since the Vikings acquired a Pro Bowl center, Garrett Bradbury could be a cap casualty. Bradbury enters the final year of his 3-year, $15.75 million contract extension and is scheduled to earn a $4.9 million base salary and a $6.06 million cap hit per Over The Cap. With a pre-June 1st cut, the team would free up $3.6 million and incur a $2.4 million dead cap hit in 2025.

The Vikings could move Bradbury to left guard. The last time Garrett Bradbury played left guard was in 2016 as a member of the North Carolina State Wolfpack.
