The Louisville Cardinals are in a position where they have really elevated the team this season and quarterback Miller Moss has been a major factor. However, his status has been up in the air for this upcoming game against the SMU Mustangs. Let’s take a deeper dive into the latest report about his health and what it means for the Louisville Cardinals going forward.
Louisville Cardinals QB Miller Moss Injury Status for Week 13 Revealed

CBS Sports’ Matt Zenitz is reporting that Louisville Cardinals quarterback Miller Moss is trending towards missing the Week 13 matchup on Saturday against the SMU Mustangs with an undisclosed injury. If this does happen, the Cardinals would have redshirt freshman Deuce Adams get the start, who has attempted just four passing attempts in his college football career.
Adams was a three-star prospect coming out of Vandegrift (TX) in the 2024 high school recruiting class. He was also considered to be the 37th-ranked quarterback in the recruiting class, according to Rivals.
This game has some say as Louisville is trying to snap a two-game losing streak. Moss has started all 10 games this season after transferring from the USC Trojans during the offseason. He has been doing a good job under center this season as he has completed 216 of 336 (64.3%) of his passes for 2,344 yards with 11 passing touchdowns to seven interceptions while also running 43 times for -76 (-1.8 yards per attempt) with eight rushing touchdowns.
The SMU Mustangs have been a strong defensive team as they have 16 interceptions, the fourth-best in college football thus far. With the Louisville Cardinals being in a position where this win can continue elevating the program, this will be a big factor to keep an eye on as we get closer to kickoff.
