The Cleveland Browns quarterback battle is going to be the biggest story for the rest of the NFL offseason. Cleveland will have OTAs this week and next week.

Many are wondering who will be the Browns starting quarterback for the 2025 NFL season. It appears as if Deshaun Watson is going to be out of the picture for Cleveland. Joe Flacco, Kenny Pickett, Dillon Gabriel, and Shedeur Sanders will be the four quarterbacks on the roster who will be competing for that starting spot. Who will be the starting quarterback for the Browns when training camp starts?
NFL Insider Thinks That the Cleveland Browns Will Have Joe Flacco As Starter By Training Camp

ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler spoke to ESPN Cleveland radio on Wednesday morning about who will be the starting quarterback for the Browns by the time training camp rolls around. Fowler said,
“I would be at least mildly surprised if he’s not the starter, at least going into training camp.”
Flacco is 40 years old, and he has been in the NFL since the 2008 season. He was with the Browns back in 2023 and helped to the playoffs and also won the Comeback Player of the Year award. Cleveland having Flacco at the top of the depth chart when training camp rolls around would not be surprising at all.
Some people may not care about where Flacco is on the depth chart. More NFL fans may care more about where Sanders is on the Browns depth chart when training camp rolls around. It would be hard to believe that Cleveland would keep four quarterbacks on the roster at the start of the 2025 NFL season.
It would be smart for head coach Kevin Stefanski to go with Flacco or Pickett to start the 2025 season. He should not throw either Gabriel or Sanders as rookies into the fire right away. Whoever starts the 2025 season for Cleveland at quarterback may not be the starter by the end of the year.
