Mike Vrabel might be the next head coach for the Chicago Bears as per an NFL insider. Vrabel spent the most recent NFL season as a coaching consultant for the Cleveland Browns, who finished 3-14. Vrabel is mostly known for coaching the Tennessee Titans full time from 2018 to 2023, after creating a name for himself as a defensive coordinator for the Houston Texans.
The Chicago Bears are definitely not the only team who is interested in getting Mike Vrabel on their side. Apparently, the New England Patriots are also showing eagerness to land Vrabel as their head coach. Vrabel has some amazing history with the New England Patriots, where he played for them for nine seasons and won three Super Bowls.
“I think the Bears are a really interesting fit just as far as a city and a football coach. I don’t think he could come with a better fit than the Bears. Mike Vrabel has also maximized players over the course of his career, something you can see very clearly from his work in Tennessee. It’s with Ryan Tannehill, of course, getting the most out of Ryan Tannehill. It’s also Derrick Henry, who hadn’t done a lot before he got there. He helped turn Derrick Henry into one of the best.” NFL insider Albert Breer said on ‘The Breer Report’.

At the same time, some reports have also mentioned that the Chicago Bears might look up to Drew Petzing who is the offensive coordinator for the Buffalo Bills, while also eyeing other options like Todd Monken, the offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. It looks like the Bears are keen on getting the right person to go hand in hand with their star quarterback, Caleb Williams.
Mike Vrabel’s Interview With The Patriots Confirmed
As per recent reports, the New England Patriots have confirmed an interview with Mike Vrabel on Thursday. Vrabel is surely excited to visit his old team ground and perhaps coach for them pretty soon. The New England Patriots did not have a great NFL season and finished last in the AFC East after winning four games and losing 13.
In their last game of the season, the Patriots played against the Buffalo Bills and won the game with an impressive 23-16. Vrabel’s expertise and interesting resume will help New England’s offense, especially with quarterbacks Drake Maye, Jacoby Brissett and Joe Milton III. In his career as a player, Vrabel managed an impressive 510 solo tackles along with 57 sacks.
