Mike Tomlin, head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, seems to have many haters, according to renowned sports reporter Aditi Kinkhabwala’s latest appearance on 93.7 The Fan’s live stream on Wednesday. Tomlin has been praised widely in public for his optimism and for the way he runs the Steelers. However, it seems like the information in public media is quite far from the truth.
Kinkhabwala revealed that she has spoken to a number of former Pittsburgh players and many of them seemed to have grumblings against their head coach. Despite the Steelers being unable to make it to the playoffs for several seasons together, Mike Tomlin still has a pretty positive public image.
“I’ll just say this without violating anybody’s trust. There are many, many former players that I have spoken to that have bitten their tongues about their experience with Mike. There’s a huge disconnect, right? Because the national media is in love with Mike Tomlin and the national media never brings up the playoff drought.” Aditi Kinkhabwala spoke about Pittsburgh Steelers head coach, Mike Tomlin, in her latest appearance on 93.7 The Fan’s live stream.

Despite having some bad reviews about his coaching, Mike Tomlin still seems to be positive about the Pittsburgh Steelers making it to the playoffs in the upcoming NFL season. Tomlin’s Steelers have been working pretty hard during the offseason in trades and new signings and whatnots. The latest of their moves has been to trade Minkah Fitzpatrick to the Miami Dolphins in return for cornerback Jalen Ramsey and tight end Jonnu Smith.

Mike Tomlin’s Steelers Not Done With Offseason Moves
On another note, Mike Tomlin’s Pittsburgh Steelers are definitely not done with their offseason moves, according to recent reports. Fans expected the Steelers to stay quiet after the latest trade with the Miami Dolphins. However, the team is still a wide receiver short, and may make another move soon before the regular season kicks off.

The Steelers are heavily leaning on veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers for the upcoming season. Rodgers himself has signed only a one-year deal with the Steelers and will mostly hang up his cleats after the 2025 NFL season. The quarterback earlier stated that the entire reason as to why he chose to play for the Steelers in the upcoming season was because of his strong belief in Mike Tomlin and his leadership.
