The Georgia Bulldogs still have the CFP in sight, but have not necessarily had the season that many felt the team could achieve.
Bulldogs quarterback Carson Beck has been at the forefront of both the success and the struggles of the team this season. Beck started off the year hot before entering a very difficult stretch that saw the quarterback throw nine interceptions in four games. Recently, a graphic was shown during a broadcast of three goals Beck set this season that unfortunately might not come true after the Bulldogs struggles.
Beck was seen sitting on the bench with a graphic beside him as part of the broadcast that read “season goals” for the quarterback. The three goals listed were win a National Championship, win the Heisman Trophy, and get drafted in the first-round of the NFL Draft. The Heisman Trophy is certainly out for Beck, and the remaining two might be out if the quarterback cannot improve.
Currently, Beck is considered one of the top quarterbacks expected to enter the 2024 NFL Draft pool and could be a high pick. Some experts are very high on Beck and believe the quarterback can be a top-15 pick, while others think Beck might slide into a later round. Beck has recorded 12 interceptions in six straight games which is the most by any SEC player since 2020.
Georgia Bulldogs QB Carson Beck Appears to Return to Form Against Tennessee Volunteers
While the Georgia Bulldogs fans were not happy with how Beck was previously playing, the quarterback appears to be back to normal after a big win over the Tennessee Volunteers.
Unbelievable play by Carson Beck! He used his feet to get out of trouble and scored as well!

Everything changed last night after Carson rushed for this 14yd gain at the start of the 2nd quarter. You could visibly see his confidence shift!

The Bulldogs pulled off a 31-17 win that saw the quarterback record 347-yards passing and two touchdowns, without any interceptions. Beck looked confident and like a different quarterback on the field for the Bulldogs during the big win. The quarterback previously looked defeated and seemed to be in a mindset that was causing the descent in his play to grow deeper.
Beck was seen celebrating plays and playing like a serious contributor on the field for the Georgia Bulldogs, which is exactly what the team needs.
Georgia has games against Massachusetts and Georgia Tech remaining on the schedule, which should be relatively easy wins heading into the SEC Championship week. As things currently stand, the Bulldogs would not be in the game, but very well could be as Texas and Texas A&M must play each other before the regular season ends. The Aggies and the Longhorns are currently the two teams ahead of the Bulldogs in the SEC standings this season.
