Michigan Reportedly Threw $12 Million At Bryce Underwood, Which Made Him Leave LSU

Many football fans were getting ready to watch Thursday night football, either in the NFL or college football, but big news about the sport dropped right before the games were about to kick off.

Class of 2025 quarterback Bryce Underwood announced that he would be flipping his commitment from LSU to Michigan, which many people didn’t see coming. Still, on Wednesday, his high school teammate Elijah Dotson flipped from Pittsburgh to Michigan, which was an earlier sign.

Michigan Made A Big Offer

Belleville quarterback Bryce Underwood keeps the ball and runs against Saline during the second half of district final at Belleville High School in Belleville on Friday, Nov. 8, 2024.

The Wolverines have been having quarterback issues all season long, and boosters and NIL donors wanted to prevent that from happening next season, so they threw a bag of cash at Underwood.

Underwood is ranked as the number-one quarterback among many in his class, and everyone wants a crack at him.

According to Matt Moscona from ESPN Baton Rouge,” I’m told Michigan got to $12 million for Underwood.”

That is a big-time offer for a player who has never even taken a snap in college, and we have now seen many high school kids get big paydays before they step foot on campus.

Michigan now has to win football games, and there is a great chance the Underwood experience won’t work out due to how bad of a coach Sherrone Moore is.

If the Wolverines don’t figure it out next season, Underwood has to leave the program and enter the portal, and maybe LSU will get back into the mix that way.
