The Michigan Wolverines were cruising early, but Minnesota put together an impressive second-half comeback at the Big House on Saturday.
Ultimately, the Wolverines escaped with a 27-24 win on a day where they finished with 86 total passing yards and converted just 6-of-15 of their third down attempts.
Sitting at (4-1) with a tough Big Ten conference schedule ahead, Michigan is going to have to find a solution on offense or the elite defenses will take away the run and the Wolverines will have no answer.

The Michigan defense was dominant in the first half, forcing a turnover or a punt on Minnesota’s first seven drives of the game. But that defensive dominance didn’t carry over into the second half, something that has become a concerning trend for the Michigan Wolverines over the last several weeks.
In each of their last three games, the Wolverines have taken a comfortable lead into halftime. But in the second half of those games, Michigan’s opponents have been able to close the gap and put themselves within striking distance of stealing the game, but the Wolverines have found a way to win.

Despite the close win, the Michigan Wolverines are still ranked No. 10 in the AP Poll.
Michigan is one of seven teams from the Big Ten in the new poll, headlined by No. 3 Ohio State, No. 6 Oregon, No. 7 Penn State, the 10th-ranked Wolverines, No. 11 USC, No. 23 Indiana and No. 24 Illinois. Michigan plays four of those teams with a date at Illinois on Oct. 19, a showdown at home with Oregon on Nov. 2, at Indiana on Nov. 9 and the regular season finale at Ohio State on Nov. 30.
VP Candidate Tim Walz Appears To Give Fans Middle Finger At Michigan Wolverines Game Vs. Minnesota

With a presidential election coming in just over a month, it’s no surprise to see candidates show up everywhere possible, including college football games.
Much of the talk this week around the intersection of sports and politics is about Donald Trump – the former president who is again vying for the White House in this election – attending the SEC clash between Georgia and Alabama.
But as the Michigan Wolverines hosted Minnesota in the Big House, the running mate of Democratic nominee and current Vice President Kamala Harris – Minnesota GovernorTim Walz –made an appearance.
In an effort to not upset undecided voters in a crucial swing state, Walz declined to make a prediction for the game, but he did appear on the field before kickoff .
In a video that has gone viral on social media, Walz appears to make a shocking gesture toward fans who were yelling at him in support of Trump as he walked on to the field ahead of kickoff.

Multiple social media users posted a video that appears to show Walz raising his middle finger to Michigan Wolverines fans as they yell at him.
College football fans can be raucous, but if these videos are accurate, that’s a shocking response from someone who is running for the second-highest office in the United States.
