The Michigan Wolverines already have a great 2023 recruiting class. According to 247, the Wolverines have the 19th-best recruiting class between the recruits and the transfer portal. The class just got a little better. The Michigan Wolverines got a massive commitment from four-star defensive back Brandyn Hillman over the weekend.

Michigan Wolverines Brandyn Hillman
Hillman is a 6-foot-1, 191-pound athlete out of Portsmouth, Virginia. He had signed a national letter of intent to Notre Dame but was released a week ago. It did not take him long to make a decision. He chose Michigan over a could of other high-profile Big Ten programs in Ohio State and upstart Wisconsin.
“Michigan is a good school,” Hillman said. “I trust Michigan for sure. I like that they compete year in and year out. I like that they are in a conference and play for championships. Coming into a place where the defense is strong, and I can add to it is a great feeling.”
The Wolverines’ defense has been a staple of the team in the last couple of years and Jim Harbaugh looks to continue the strong play.
Huge Commitment To Fill A Huge Hole
Hillman will most likely play safety for the Michigan Wolverines. They did not have a safety committed in the 2023 cycle so Hillman fills a huge hole. He rounds out a great secondary class that includes four-star cornerback Jyaire Hill, three-star cornerback Cameron Calhoun and three-star corner/safety DJ Waller. As the team looks to make it to three straight College Football Playoffs, reloading on talent will be the number one priority.
The Wolverines look to be back in the national spotlight. After years of struggling to be relevant, they finally have gotten back to being one of the premier programs in college football. There has been a lot of good news on the recruiting front for Michigan as of late and the hope is that the good news keeps flowing in.
