Last year, Michigan found itself in a cheating scandal after news broke that they were stealing opposing team signals, which started in 2021.
Michigan was made fun of by all college football fans for cheating, saying they could only win if they cheated. Even though the cheating looks to have stopped, they are still getting help from the officials, and on Saturday, they got a great call to go their way.
Michigan Gets Bailed Out With A Terrible Call

With 1:37 seconds left to go in the game, Minnesota recovered an onside kick down 27-24 and looked to be getting the ball in great field position to either tie the game or take the lead, but the officials called an offsides penalty on the Gophers which overturned the onside kick and Michigan recovered the next one which gave them the ball and the win.
Even Fox Rules official Mike Pereira stated the player was not offsides, which shows how bad of a job the officials did.

The Minnesota player was clearly not offsides, and Michigan got help from the refs because they were about to lose the game because Minnesota’s offense was clicking, and they were going to have the ball in great field position.

Many fans were unhappy with the game’s result and took to social media to express their thoughts and reactions.
