Michael Irvin, former NFL wide receiver and current sports commentator, recently opened up about his close friendship with Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders in an episode of his show a few days ago. Both the close buddies were recently seen together at the Big 12 Media Day, which marked Deion Sanders’ first public outing after his health scare.
Sanders has suffered from several health issues in the last few years, but the most recent setback is unknown. The renowned football coach and father of Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders, chose to keep the matter to himself and his close friends and family. However, it looks like Coach Prime is already back on the horse and even shared a post on his Instagram story with a picture of him coming out of his home.
“Whenever I’m with him, we laugh like I don’t know what. This is my boy. I battled with this dude. I know how strong this dude is. I know how he is. He’s physically strong, mentally strong, emotionally strong. He’s strong. And we’ve had battles, and I respect him as a giant.” Michael Irvin spoke about Deion ‘Coach Prime’ Sanders in his show a few days ago, as reported by Athlon Sports.

Michael Irvin’s close friend and supporter, Deion Sanders, also spoke to reporters directly on Wednesday. The press was, of course, quite concerned about Sanders’ health and quizzed him on his condition. While Sanders did not reveal what he was suffering from, he remarked that he is “doing wonderful”. He also reiterated that he will not be shedding any more light on his health and, in fact, wanted to speak about his team, the Colorado Buffaloes.

Michael Irvin Had Some Strong Advice For Deion Sanders Before Big 12 Media Day
Michael Irvin has definitely got Deion Sanders’ back and wanted him to shine in his appearance for Big 12 Media day. Irvin was revealed to have given Sanders some valuable words of advice ahead of his appearance, including telling him to take it slow. It has certainly been quite some time since Deion Sanders appeared in front of a camera as a result of his health issues, and it looks like his friend did not want him to stumble.

Irvin also apparently told Deion Sanders to not try for a “touchdown” immediately and “just get a few first downs”. It looks like Sanders heeded Irvin’s words since his appearance at the Big 12 Media day was simply a blast.
