Micah Parsons, defensive end for the Dallas Cowboys, has still not received word about his contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys. Despite his being unable to crack a proper deal with the Cowboys, the linebacker seems pretty optimistic about his future with the team.
However, he gave Dallas fans a shock some time back when he failed to show up for the OTAs a few days back. His absence led to rumors that the defensive end might soon leave the Cowboys and play for some other franchise in the upcoming NFL season. In the recent mandatory minicamp, Parsons showed up and was all too positive about his future with Dallas.
“I think it’s important to be in the building, the knowledge of the defense, to understand what (defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus) and (they) are trying to do. Very dynamic scheme and I’m pretty excited about it.” Micah Parsons said to press reporters during the mandatory mini-camp for the Dallas Cowboys.
“Still hanging tight. Like I said, it’s up to [owner/general manager Jerry Jones]. He gives the green light on everything, so hopefully something’s done by next month.” Parsons said to reporters about his contract extension with the Cowboys.

Micah Parsons also discussed his recent conversations with team owner, Jerry Jones. According to Parsons, Jones complimented him on his current form and also asked him about the trip he went on. However, the subject of his contract extension never came up.
Micah Parsons Should Not Attend Training Camps According To Fans
While Micah Parsons seems pretty optimistic about scoring a major deal with the Dallas Cowboys, his fans don’t echo the same sentiments. Parsons, being a part of the training camps, was disliked by numerous fans who took to social media to discourage him from working out with the team until Jerry Jones gave him a solid contract extension.

However, it looks like Parsons is pretty confident that Jerry Jones will not pass up on disappointing a player like him. Parsons is definitely one of the senior players in the Dallas Cowboys and even won the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year title in his very first season for the team. In the previous football season, Parsons contributed a total of 30 solo tackles with 12 sacks for the Cowboys. With his impressive stats, the Cowboys will not be ready to let go of Parsons so quickly without a fight.
