Micah Parsons has been making a lot of interesting comments in the media, to say the least, as the Dallas Cowboys season has been falling off the rails.
The team is losing their star quarterback Dak Prescott for the rest of the season, and their season and hopes for the playoffs are over at this point. Micah has now come out and spelled out how the Cowboys can fix their issues for the future. This comes after Micah made some interesting comments about the team’s head coach Mike McCarthy, that he had to walk back.
Micah can’t help himself by inserting his ideas into the media, and that may be part of the Cowboy’s mess at the moment. Owner Jerry Jones also had to step in to quiet the noise that Micah Started.

While the team is going in the wrong direction in every way imaginable, Micah revealed his thoughts on how the team can fix their issues.
Micah Parsons Thinks The Team Needs To Go All In On Defense
While the team is going nowhere this year, Micah has ideas for how they can fix everything for the future. Specifically, Micah thinks that it all comes down to the defensive side of the football.
It makes sense, as Micah is one of the best defenders in the NFL, that his attention for fixing the team would all come down to defense, but he also makes a great point. The Cowboys have been at their best the last three seasons when their defense is close to the top of the league, and they have suffered their most brutal losses when their defense has played terribly.
Micah wants the team and the front office to build around him and to build a young elite defense, and that will be the best way for the team to get back on track:
“Defense wins championships!! Build this defense while we got young superstar! We will win more games holding teams to 20 or less points than offensive shootouts!! Facts!!” Parsons tweeted.
The Cowboys have had good defenses in the past but that hasn’t been the case this year. They’re giving up 362.9 yards per game, one of the worst marks in the league. They’re also giving up 28.8 points per game, the second-worst mark in the league. They’re only ahead of the Carolina Panthers in that category.
Parsons thinks the Cowboys need to add a lot more defenders in free agency and the draft, and that will fix the major issues they have been having, but he is not taking into account how bad this team has been on the offensive side of the ball as well.
While having one of the top defenses can certainly be a great start to becoming a playoff team, the modern NFL is all about offense, and after paying Dak the most money ever, and CeeDee Lamb also got his huge contract, it will be very difficult to add to meaningful talent to the roster going forward.
Additionally, Micah is not taking into account how bad their run game has been as it has been at the very bottom of the NFL. No matter how good your defense is, if you are so one-dimensional on offense, there is no way to beat the best teams in the league and in the NFC.
This season is already over for the team as they sit at 3-6 on the season, and may not win any game the rest of the way, but Micah is already focused on the years to come, and why shouldn’t;t he be as he is a super young elite star in this league and the heart and soul of the Cowboys’ defense. However, the team will need more than just getting back to being one of the top defenses int he NFL, as their offense has been abysmal this year.
