Ryan Clark Blames Bo Nix for Micah Parsons' Non-Contact ACL Injury

“Micah Parsons is Hurt Because of …”: Ryan Clark Makes Shocking Claim on Packers Star’s Season-Ending ACL Tear (Video)

ESPN analyst Ryan Clark dropped a serious take on Monday regarding Micah Parsons’ season-ending ACL tear. Clark put the blame on Bo Nix without any hesitation, though it was not a dirty play.

Clark’s point? The effort required to chase down Denver Broncos’ slippery QB all game wore down the Packers’ edge rusher. But the community isn’t buying his explanation since it was just his gut feelings.

Ryan Clark Blames Bo Nix for Micah Parsons’ Non-Contact ACL Injury

Parsons suffered a non-contact injury in the third quarter of the Green Bay Packers’ 34–26 loss on Sunday. His left knee buckled while he was chasing Nix. Doctors later made it official after the test that he is done for the season with his torn ACL.

Clark didn’t mince words during ESPN’s pre-Monday Night Football coverage. “Micah Parsons is hurt because of Bo Nix,” the analyst stated. He clarified it wasn’t Nix’s fault per se, but the violence Parsons expended chasing the mobile QB throughout the second half.

“The violence in which Micah Parsons had to chase Bo Nix the entire second half was extremely evident,” Clark explained. He pointed to Nix’s touchdown throws to Michael Bandy and Troy Franklin, plus his scrambles to find Lil’Jordan Humphrey. Parsons was the lone Packer consistently pressuring Nix all afternoon.

Clark doubled down on his assessment, adding, “You could see Micah redirect in order to keep him in the pocket. That was part of what he’d seen the entire night. Bo Nix was amazing last night. It’s sad you lose a great player like Micah Parsons, but it was because of the effort he had to give to get to Denver’s quarterback.”

Parsons finishes his first Packers campaign with 12.5 sacks. The milestone it represented made him the first player ever to have 12-plus sacks in his first five NFL seasons. The 26-year-old faces a minimum eight-month recovery timeline, potentially missing the start of 2025.

Clark’s comments triggered a handful of NFL community members who ripped the former safety’s logic. Broncos fans literally shredded the ESPN analyst. Regardless, the Packers still face the reality of missing Parsons for the rest of the season.

The Packers now face a massive hole in their pass rush with Rashan Gary stepping up as the lead edge defender. They sit at 9-4-1, heading into their Week 16 matchup against the Chicago Bears. With their generational edge rusher out for the playoffs, the Packers could be at a disadvantage in the clash.
