Micah Parsons, Dallas Cowboys linebacker, will have to wait for some more time for his contract extension with the team to come through. Parsons and the Cowboys have been in talks regarding his extension for several months now. However, nothing fruitful has come out of the talks. While Parsons himself seems to be getting antsy regarding his extension, many NFL experts have been showing optimism regarding the talented defensive end’s deal.

Former vice-president of the Green Bay Packers, Andrew Brandt, recently tweeted his opinion that the Cowboys will hand Micah Parsons his contract extension right before the regular season kicks off. Brandt also added that the team will definitely not be cheap when it comes to Parsons’ contract. This means that Parsons may soon become the next highest-paid non-quarterback in the National Football League.
“If history is a guide (CeeDee Lamb, Dak Prescott), the Cowboys will wait until the end of training camp and then pay him at the top of the market. Hard to know why, but that’s been their mode of operations,” Andrew Brandt tweeted about Micah Parsons’ contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys through his X account.

Despite not receiving his contract extension yet, Micah Parsons has shown up for training with the rest of the Dallas Cowboys. Parsons seems confident of a long-term relationship with the Cowboys.
Micah Parsons Cribs About Jerry Jones’ Tardiness To Undertaker
In other news, Micah Parsons recently showed up in the WWE’s Undertaker’s podcast, where he opened up on his frustration with the Dallas Cowboys and Jerry Jones. Parsons has definitely spoken about his contract situation with the Cowboys previously. However, he has never bad-mouthed the team or the owner. But, it looks like all the delay is getting to Parson,s who admitted that there are faults with the team and even the ownership, i.e. Jerry Jones.

Micah Parsons has only played for the Dallas Cowboys in his entire career after the team bagged him in the 2021 draft in the very first round. Parsons is definitely considered invaluable to the team and has been a major success factor for the team, along with quarterback Dak Prescott.
Prescott himself received his contract extension a few hours before the Dallas Cowboys could play their very first game in the 2024 NFL season. From the way things are going, it seems like Micah Parsons will receive a similar treatment from Jerry Jones.
