Micah Parsons’ contract extension with the Dallas Cowboys is one hot topic right now in the NFL. While Jerry Jones, Dallas’ owner, is yet to give out anything concrete about Parsons and his new deal, NFL analyst rooms are still discussing various propositions around the defensive end’s salary negotiations.
On Thursday, Dallas Cowboys’ linebacker DeMarvion Overshown gave his two cents on the matter in his conversation with Kay Adams, and remarked that Parsons has been coming to the team’s facility for practice regularly. However, it looks like Overshown is also out of the loop when it comes to Parsons’ contract as the two choose not to talk business when they are hanging out with each other.
“Look, I’m out of the loop as much as you. Look, as much as we chit-chat and stuff, man, it’s just two brothers. We kind of leave the business and stuff out of it … I plan on playing with Micah for years to come. We both want the same thing, to retire Dallas Cowboys … We know what we got in Micah Parsons, and we don’t want to see him in another uniform. Best of the league, every chance I get, you know, I’m talking about our future together. Keep that in mind, keep that thought running through his mind. Like, you know, we’ve been this for the long run. We got some ships to win here. So, you know, I’m putting it in there.” DeMarvion Overshown said on ‘Up & Adams’ on Thursday.

Micah Parsons has been playing for the Dallas Cowboys since 2021 after being selected by the team as the 12th pick in the very first round of the NFL draft. Before joining the league, Parsons played for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2018 to 2020.

Micah Parsons Reacts To DeMarvion Overshown’s New Jersey Number
In other news, Micah Parsons recently reacted to DeMarvion Overshown’s new jersey number for the Dallas Cowboys. Overshown will wear the no. 0 jersey for the Cowboys in the upcoming NFL season, after convincing Jerry Jones, the team owner. Micah Parsons reacted to Overshown showing off his new jersey number on Instagram, mentioning that the two can now officially swap jerseys.

Micah Parsons initially wanted the no. 0 jersey, but Jerry Jones was not ready to break the 65-year tradition the team had. Whether this decision by Jones may have ruffled Parsons’ feathers, we may never know until after the season officially kicks off.
