The Miami Dolphins improved to 3-6 on the season with their 23-15 victory over the Los Angeles Rams on Monday Night Football. Of course, this season has not gone the way many envisioned it would before the year began. Miami has struggled mightily this year, though many of their losses came while quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was on injured reserve following yet another concussion.
Tagovailoa finished the night having completed 20 of his 28 passes for 207 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. His touchdown pass was thrown to the Dolphins’ best pass catcher, wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who had just three receptions for 16 yards.
Indeed, Hill has been relatively quiet this season, with just 34 receptions for 446 yards and a touchdown going into Miami’s game against the Rams. And it’s possible that the five-time All-Pro may have revealed why.
Miami Dolphins Wide Receiver Tyreek Hill Reveals He Aggravated a Wrist Injury When He Was Arrested in Week One

As fans may recall, Hill was arrested prior to the Dolphins’ Week One game, a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars, due to a traffic violation that escalated. Body cam footage showed Hill being dragged out of his car and placed in handcuffs.
Following the arrest, an official with the Miami Dade Police Department released the following statement:
“Following the incident involving Tyreek Hill, I have initiated an Internal Affairs investigation to ensure a thorough review of the matter. One of the officers involved in the incident has been placed on administrative duties while the investigation is conducted.”
Prior to this week’s game against the Rams, Hill revealed to reporters that the arrest did more damage to a wrist injury that he suffered during training camp. According to Lisa Salters (via Shanna McCarristan of CBS Sports), “He said it first started in training camp, but then he said it got re-aggravated when he was arrested right before the opening game of the season. He was taken to the ground by police … and he said that’s where the further damage was done.”
Hill reportedly stated that he has been dealing with a torn ligament in his wrist all season as a result of the arrest.
If What Tyreek Hill Said About His Wrist Is True, the Miami Dolphins Could Be in Big Trouble

While it is easy to praise Hill for playing through such a painful injury, it should be noted that the Dolphins have not listed a wrist injury for him on any of their injury reports all season long.
In other words, if what their star wide receiver said is true, Miami has been hiding his injury from the NFL for over two months.
This, of course, breaks a wide variety of rules regarding player health and safety. Furthermore, the Dolphins already have many questioning their decisions with player health following Tagovailoa’s multiple concussions.
One has to imagine that the NFL will be looking into Hill’s claims.
